Locusts in the Countryside

In this audio you’ll hear locusts, flies and other sounds of nature. Recorded in remote village of Sikosuo in Tohmajärvi.

It is very common in Finland to say that the locusts have disappeared when you’ll get old enough. This has nothing to do with the amount of locusts, but with hearing instead. Locusts produce quite high pitched sound which gets less audible as one gets older.
