Paving the Hämeenkatu with tram rails
During the construction work for the tram lines the main road of the city of Tampere has been (and will continue to be for some time) under a constant construction work. People can go over the street only in handful of places. One such place is near the eastern end of the Hämeensilta bridge.
The recording is done towards the railroad station at the end of the road. Workers are finishing the stone pavement. Historically the main road has been covered with cobblestone, which is not the best material for public transport (or the passangers teeth), so the trams are supposed to cure this problem. At the recording there is also the sound of concrete mixer. During recording people are walking behind the microphone talking in different dialects and languages.
