Combined heat and power plant (2): engine room, turbogenerator
The recording was made at the heat and power plant PGE Energia Ciepła S.A. located in Krakow. The combined heat and power plant is the largest producer of heat and electricity for Krakow, it meets the needs of over 70% of residents, companies and institutions.
The basic generating device of a combined heat and power plant is a power unit, consisting of a cooperating boiler and a steam turbine set coupled with a generator. The entire installation includes a number of levels at which various devices and block engine room installations are located.
The generator generates electricity sent by the 13.8 / 110 kV transformer to the power system. The generator itself is cooled with hydrogen.
