Draw Frame
The draw frame was manufactured in 1970 under licence from Zinser in the factory of Krušik Valjevo, in Yugoslavia. It was in operation in the Tabor Textile Company of Maribor until 1998.
This is one of the machines used in the cotton yarn spinning process. The draw frame is composed of a feed creel, a drafting system and the delivery rolls. Several slivers fed through the creel are combined into one strand, which steadily becomes longer and narrower while passing through the draw frame. The result is a single, but considerably more uniformly drawn sliver of about the same thickness as the fed strand.
