Keitelejazz Volunteer Work I: Preparing the Festival Area
Keitelejazz is a summer jazz festival held in the small town of Äänekoski Finland. First Keitelejazz was held in 1985 and the festival has then grown steadily in size gathering international artists to perform in it.
Most of the work behind the festival is done by volunteers with the jobs ranging from tractor drivers to handymen and waiting staff.
The festival area is located in a grass field near the water side. The area needs to be prepared for festival goers with string trimmers, which you can hear in the recording. The sounds of volunteers moving metal frames of the tents can also be heard in the background.
