Pressure screener
The Goričane company originates from one of the oldest Slovenian paper mills, established in 1740. The company has been producing paper at its present location since 1788. From 1890 until the end of the 20th century, the company also produced chemical woodpulp; however, it discontinued pulp production; due to its strategic decision to be an environment-friendly paper manufacturer. Today, the company produces mostly high-quality woodfree papers.
In the pressure screener, we break down the flocks of fibres with the aim of creating a uniform paper suspension from the headbox to the bottom wire. Vacuum pumps are used to drain water out of the paper web.
