Soundscapes of Norrköping (1)

This is the soundscape from one of the central squares in Norrköping, called Skvallertorget. Around the square there generally is a lot of traffic, with many pedestrians, cyclists and heavy traffic which includes both trucks and busses. At one end of the square lies a part of Linköping University, which means that there often is a lot of students walking to and fro around the square. This of course affects how the general soundscape sounds. Before there was an electronics factory in the building which now houses the university, and with that there probably was an entirely different soundscape.

In the recording - apart from heavy traffic, pedestrians and cyclists - a fountain, construction work, music, a motorcycle and seagulls can be heard.
