Tampere Christmas Market

The Tampere Christmas Market has been arranged since 2008. It is a market area that is maintained for almost a month at December.

The Christmas Market is a traditional and atmospheric event in Tampere Central Square and it´s most known specialty are craftsmen who sell high-quality Finnish handicraft. Christmas songs are played and Santa Claus is visiting.

Christmas Market has also dramatic art, singers and other events along with the concessions stands.

In the video appears Lucia procession in the evening. The girl dressed as Saint Lucia walks with her handmaidens and they sing “Santa Lucia”. Procession symbolizes bringing the light of Christianity throughout world darkness.
