Wind Turbine

Virtsu2 wind farm is located in Lääne county in Estonia. It was completed in 2008. There are three Enercon E-70 type wind turbines with the capacity of 2.3 MW in Virtsu2 wind farm. Yearly production of electricity is ca 21 GWh. The wine farm comprises an area of 20 hectares.

The electric turbines are producted by a German company Enercon GmbH. The height of the mast of the wind turbine is 85m, rotor diameter 71m. Weight of the wind turbine is 2.30 tons. The expected life-span of the wind turbines of Virtsu2 wind farm is 20 years.
Virtsu2 wind farm is operated by Nelja Energia OÜ.

Wind speed was about 5-7m/sec. while recording.
